Piotr Śpiewanowski is an applied microeconomist with a broad range of research interests ranging from industrial organization and consumer protection, through health and education economics, to environmental and climate policies.

Piotr is an assistant professor at the Institute of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, where he teaches Data Science at graduate level. In his research, Piotr combines economic theory with advanced econometrics and data science tools. His work has been published in international journals such as the American Journal of Agriculture Economics and also beyond economics in Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation.

Previously, Piotr was a Research Fellow in Health Economics at Cardiff Research Consortium and a Senior Consultant at the Educational Research Institute in Warsaw.

Piotr holds a Doctorate in economics from the European University Institute in Florence (2014) and a Masters in Economics from the Warsaw School of Economics (2008).
