André holds a Master’s in Economics of Markets and Organizations from the Toulouse School of Economics.
He has academic backgrounds in both Economics and Physics and possesses quantitative skills in theoretical and applied approaches. Prior to joining Positive Competition as an Analyst, he completed a long-term internship with the firm. Since then, he has been involved in various casework, ranging from the theoretical aspects of antitrust cases to econometric models for damage estimation cases. Additionally, he has worked with clients from his home country of Costa Rica on merger regulation cases, producing expert reports.
André also has previous experience in academic and consultancy environments, having worked in research for the London School of Economics and various consultancy institutions focused on development in Latin America.
Apart from his interest in economics, André enjoys playing volleyball, listening to music, and travelling.
